چکیده

Abstract Background Nearly all meningiomas express somatostatin receptor 1/2 (SSTR1/SSTR2); therefore, SSTR ligands such as 68Ga-DOTATATE can be utilized for meningioma radiotherapy treatment planning. Incorporation of PET assists with target delineation and may reduce the dose to organs-at-risk (OARs). We hypothesize that PET-based plans will OARs when compared MRI-based plans. METHODS All were rendered on computed tomography (CT) planning datasets, using RapidArc 6MV photon energy. Two arcs positioned coplanar axis alternated collimator settings 0 90 degrees promote MLC sparing a third unique vertex arc chosen independently spare normal brain tissue associated organs at risk (OAR). For MRI structures, 1 cm expansion from gross tumor volume (GTV) created clinical (CTV)60. A 2 CTV54. GTV CTV60. 3 mm isotropic volumes (PTVs). Plans optimized Dmax brainstem remained limited 60Gy or less optic structures was 54Gy less. RESULTS 18 patients included (9 post-operative, 9 intact). The mean PTV 258 ccs (306 210 intact), 60 (97 91 radiation both nerves, chiasm, hippocampi, reduced favoring post-operative intact patients. CONCLUSION Our study shows incorporation patients, this difference translate toxicity. guided treatments are worthy future prospective investigation.

[68Ga]-DOTATOC-PET/CT for meningioma IMRT treatment planning

PURPOSE The observation that human meningioma cells strongly express somatostatin receptor (SSTR 2) was the rationale to analyze retrospectively in how far DOTATOC PET/CT is helpful to improve target volume delineation for intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT). PATIENTS AND METHODS In 26 consecutive patients with preferentially skull base meningioma, diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging (M...

Whole-Body 68Ga-DOTANOC PET/MRI Versus 68Ga-DOTANOC PET/CT in Patients With Neuroendocrine Tumors

PURPOSE The aim of this study was to assess the diagnostic performance of simultaneous whole-body Ga-DOTANOC PET/MRI compared with Ga-DOTANOC PET/CT for detection of distant metastatic disease in patients with well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). METHODS Patients with histologically proven, well-differentiated NET (G1 or G2) were included in this prospective, institutional review...

Diagnostic efficiency of 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT as compared to 99mTc-Octreotide SPECT/CT and conventional morphologic modalities in neuroendocrine tumors

Objective(s): In view of somatostatin receptor (SSR) expression on cell membranes of the majority of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), functional imaging exploiting analogs of SSR alongside the anatomical imaging is the mainstay of this diagnostic modality. In this prospective study, we assessed and directly compared the diagnostic parameters of 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT and 99...

Dosimetric evaluation of MRI-based treatment planning for prostate cancer.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the dosimetric accuracy of MRI-based treatment planning for prostate cancer using a commercial radiotherapy treatment planning system. Three-dimensional conformal plans for 15 prostate patients were generated using the AcQPlan system. For each patient, dose distributions were calculated using patient CT data with and without heterogeneity correction, and...

Safety and Efficacy of 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT for Diagnosis, Staging, and Treatment Management of Neuroendocrine Tumors.

UNLABELLED Our purpose was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of (68)Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT compared with (111)In-pentetreotide imaging for diagnosis, staging, and restaging of pulmonary and gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. METHODS (68)Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT and (111)In-pentetreotide scans were obtained for 78 of 97 consecutively enrolled patients with known or suspected pulmonary or ga...
